Foster Care Program

Everyday Blessings serves foster families who offer their home to children with special needs. 

Foster Care

• Serves children who have been removed from their home due to abuse, neglect and/or abandonment.
• Is funded by the Florida Department of Children and Families in arrangement with Hillsborough Kids, Inc.
• Offers temporary, stable care for children in the Tampa Bay area.    

Children in foster care

• Range in age from newborn to 18 years old.
• Come from all economic backgrounds and ethnic groups.
• Have been victims of abuse, neglect and/or abandonment.
• Are awaiting reunification with their family or placement with an adoptive home.
• Need the love and support of strong families.

Foster Parents

• Come from all across the Tampa Bay area.
• Are licensed by the State of Florida.
• Attend a 30-hour pre-service program and regular ongoing training.
• Have access to “support groups” from two foster parent associations.
• Have room in their hearts and their homes.
• Are willing to advance the growth and happiness of children. 

Everyday Blessings

• Recruits, trains and supports foster families.
• Has a long history of success with foster families.
• Is especially interested in finding foster families for:
• children under 5 years of age
• for teenagers
• Believes in keeping sibling groups together whenever possible.

Everyday Blessings is a 501c3 nonprofit receiving partial funding from Hillsborough Kids, Inc. and partial funding from private donors.

This initial website was produced with the generous assistance of the Children's Board of Hillsborough County.

Everyday Blessings is a Florida licensed child placing agency providing services to birth parents, adoptive/foster parents and, especially to children involved in the adoption process. It has complied with the standards set by the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families, for a child placing agency. As such it is licensed to operate as a child placing agency and this license shall continue in force and be renewed on the 25th day of July of each year. Our services are sponsored in part by the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families. Other sponsors include the Children's Board of Hillsborough County as well as numerous foundations, corporations and individuals. Everyday Blessings is a program of St. Francis Foundation, Inc., a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit Florida corporation. All donations are tax deductible.
